Ultra-light carbon-spoke performance built for climbing.

The Farsports AIR2 is an exceptionally lightweight road wheelset developed around a shallow 25mm carbon rim, carbon-spoke construction and Farsports’ lightweight ratchet hub platform.

With a claimed wheelset weight of approximately 848g, AIR2 is designed for riders prioritising climbing performance, rapid acceleration and minimal rotating mass without giving up the direct response of a carbon-spoke wheel system.

BUILT FOR THE CLIMBS

AIR2 takes a deliberately different approach from deeper aerodynamic wheelsets.

Its 25mm rim profile and exceptionally low claimed weight are designed to minimise rotating mass and create a wheelset that responds rapidly when accelerating or changing pace on steep gradients.

Farsports combines that shallow rim with carbon spokes and its lightweight ratchet hub platform to create a wheelset focused on direct power transfer, low weight and responsive climbing performance.

CARBON-SPOKE CONSTRUCTION

AIR2 uses Farsports’ redesigned T-head carbon spokes, with the manufacturer focusing on both aerodynamic profile and weight reduction.

The wheels use 20 spokes front and rear in a 1:1 lacing pattern, creating a lightweight yet highly structured connection between the rim and hub.

Farsports also uses pre-moulded spoke holes within the rim construction, which it says are designed to optimise power transfer through the wheel system.

CERAMICSPEED EQUIPPED

CBC’s AIR2 specification is equipped with CeramicSpeed bearings.

The low-friction bearing system complements the AIR2’s lightweight construction and performance-focused design, creating a wheelset intended for riders looking to minimise mechanical resistance as well as overall wheel weight.

Farsports states that the CeramicSpeed bearings supplied with AIR2 carry a four-year bearing warranty.

At approximately 848g claimed, AIR2 sits at the extreme lightweight end of the Farsports road range.

Rather than trying to be an all-purpose deep-section wheel, it is designed around a very clear purpose: keeping wheel weight exceptionally low for climbing, acceleration and lightweight performance builds.

For riders whose priority is minimum weight rather than maximum rim depth, AIR2 offers one of the most specialised wheel platforms in the Farsports range.
